  • U.S. Minority Business Development Agency
    A part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, MBDA is the only federal agency created specifically to foster the creation, growth and expansion of minority-owned businesses in the U.S. Assistance is provided to socially or economically disadvantaged individuals who own or wish to start a business.
  • U.S. Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
    This Dept. of Commerce agency is responsible for "promoting the use of small, minority, and women-owned small businesses in compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and policies." They assist firms in securing contracts & subcontracts with the Department of Commerce and its prime contractors.
  • U.S Small Business Association Office of Native American Affairs
    Supports Native American entrepreneurs by providing resources & programs to help them “create, develop and expand their small businesses.”
  • U.S Small Business Association Office of Veterans Business Development
    This site which supports Veterans in their endeavors as small business owners, provides links to obtaining federal contracts, financing a business, and research reports & data on veterans owning a small businesses.

  • American Small Business Alliance
    An advocacy group dedicated to protecting the interests of small business in public policy. This website contains information on issues that affect small businesses, such as healthcare, taxation and  technology, and links for further reading.
  • Association of Small Business Development
  • Program uniting private enterprise, government, & nonprofit economic development organizations. It provides a vehicle for continued improvement of the Small Business Development Center, exchange of information regarding objectives, methods and results in management and technical assistance / advocacy of America's small business community.
  • Better Business Bureau
    The BBB system extends to over 98% of the nation. They help solve marketplace problems through the use of voluntary self-regulation and consumer education. Core Services include: Business Reliability Reports; Dispute Resolution; Truth-in-Advertising; and Charity Review.
  • National Federation of Independent Business
    An advocacy group for small businesses. The group tracks issues affecting small businesses, and provides tips for business owners. NFIB has been ranked the most influential business organization in "Washington's Power 25" survey (Fortune)
  • Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).
    A nonprofit dedicated to entrepreneur education & the formation, growth and success of small business. With volunteers & chapters throughout the U.S, it serves as a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
